
We're seeking for a diligent file clerk to guarantee that our organization's records are properly sequenced and filed, as well as to capture tracking data in electronic systems. The file clerk collects documents from internal departments and organizes it by date, number, alphabetical order, and topic matter. You'll save hard copies of invoices, receipts, and forms, as well as generate new files. You will retrieve information on demand, ensure that data are returned to the proper locations, and make requests for records from other external sources.
Responsibilities:
● Obtaining information from a variety of sources
● Documentation evaluation, organization, and coding
● Creating and modifying files, as well as filing documents in the proper folders ● Obsolete files are either destroyed or moved to inactive storage in accordance with protocol ● Scanning files on a regular basis to ensure that they are in the right place and to look for missing records
● Requesting records and transmitting them to the appropriate people
● Making copies of records and delivering them
● Making changes to the filing system that have been approved
● Assisting with incoming phone calls
● Mail and courier packages are received and forwarded
Requirements:
● A high school diploma, a GED, or an appropriate equivalent is required ● Work experience in a similar role of at least one year is required
● Computer literate, including MS Office Word and Excel
● Photocopy and facsimile machines are second nature to you
● Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
