

We are looking for a talented and experienced Buyer to work for our buying team. You will be a proud member of the buying team and support the delivery of business partnering, financial controllership and cost reduction. You should be able to own aspects of the buying process and establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate and secure value for money on a full range of purchase items
- Build effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring a high service level in terms of quotations, quality compliance, and lead times for local projects
- Identify savings opportunities and partner with department heads to deliver savings through tenders, negotiations, and contract renewals
- Utilize multiple applications and systems to deliver accurate metrics, reporting and data
- Assist a variety of internal stakeholders with procure to pay tasks
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity whilst working in partnership with Merchandisers to react appropriately to maximize sales, profitability and market share
- Work in full compliance and adherence of company policies whilst educating and guiding the correct behaviours of business stakeholders
Requirements:
- Strong commercial awareness and the previous Buyer experience
- Ability to analyze complex data from multiple sources to aid decision making
- Ability to identify market trends and opportunities at a pace
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- Supplier relationship management experience
- Proven track record of delivering results to targets as an individual and within a team
- Ability to work collaboratively and supports colleagues to achieve team goals
