
A successful advertising manager plans and directs the company’s advertising policies and programs. They also guide the production of all the advertisements, for example, posters, contests, coupons, or give-aways. These advertisements are in the pursuit of reaching new clients and creating an excitement or interest in the company.
Responsibilities
- Budget and submit the predicted cost of advertising programs in the company’s campaign development plan
- Plan and prepare the material needed for the advertisements
- Contribute with the annual budget plan
- Critique and inspect advertisement designs, layouts, and all advertising materials
- Direct activities within the advertising department like sales, graphic design, and media
- Construct and negotiate all advertising contracts and policiesOrganize and direct advertising campaigns
- Communicate and confer with clients to ensure advertisements are received well by all clients
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or a closely related subject
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required; managerial experience is desired
- Design and marketing principles and approaches are well-understood
- Ability to build strategies based on current and emerging industry trends
- Outstanding organizing and multitasking abilities, particularly while working on many projects or teams
- Management, negotiation, listening, and verbal and writing communication abilities are all excellent
- Decisiveness and good problem-solving abilities, particularly while under duress
- The ability to form and sustain effective working relationships.Excellent sales and presentation abilities
