A letter of suspension is used to inform an employee that they are being temporarily removed from a position, usually as a disciplinary measure.
Subject: Suspension letter
I am writing to inform you that you have been suspended from work until further notice with immediate effect pending investigation into the following allegations of misconduct:
Your conduct and behaviour is judged to be inappropriate and unacceptable. An employer has the basic responsibility for maintaining order. Not only has your behaviour disrupted our operations and good labour relations, but it has been destructive to the morale of your co-workers.
Your suspension does not imply that you are guilty of any misconduct. We shall continue to pay your salary during the suspension period. You remain bound by the contract of employment during your suspension.
We will keep this matter under review and ensure to make the period of suspension no longer than necessary. You should not attend the workplace unless permitted by ______. You should not communicate with any of our stakeholders, especially customers unless authorised by ____.
